Nipigon Project #1 - The Fox Mountain Project

The Fox Mountain Project is located 40km west of Cameron Falls and straddles the Townships of Little Sturge and Leckie Lakes, and consists of a 1730.5 hectare (17.3 sq. km.) claim block.

The Fox Mountain Project consists of rocks of the Quetico Subprovince and the Sibley group which are intruded by proterozoic mafic to ultramafic intrusive rocks.

The Fox Mountain Project is centered on a discrete geophysical target consisting of a coincident gravity anomaly (6GDS1052) and circular magnetic low (7GDS1047), interpreted to possibly represent a feeder zone to the ultramafic complex. Compiled OGS open-file geochemistry (8OFR6096) indicates anomalous nickel-in-lake sediments (greater than the 95th percentile). Nickel values in rock samples are generally anomalous (>0.04% Nickel).
