Laurion Mineral Exploration Inc. is an exploration company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol LME.
Laurion's exploration horizons encompass not only gold, but also base metals and PGE's.
We envisage the realization of shareholder value and wealth through monetization of our discoveries. Through joint venture partnerships with significant players with capital, our business model allows us, the junior exploration company to focus our resources on project identification and acquisition, thus permitting Laurion to have many irons in the fire.
Our goal is to expose our investors to the upside of a major discovery on multiple high impact projects, with the objective of achieving long-term growth based on the following strategies and criteria:
- Strategically well located early stage projects in geological systems where discoveries have been repetitive; Highly prospective properties with the potential to host significant deposits;
- Make sound business decisions based on disciplined financial criteria that appropriately balance costs, benefits and risks; and,
- Creating a strategic alliance with companies with technical expertise that utilize leading-edge geophysics and technologies, which recognize ore-bearing systems and locate ore deposits.
THE PROPERTIES
LAURION Mineral Exploration Inc. recently acquired the Sturgeon River Mine consists of thirty-five (35) patented mineral claims located in the historic Geraldton-Beardmore Gold Camp, 120 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay, Ontario. The Sturgeon River Mine previously operated from 1936 to 1942 and produced 73,332 oz. of gold and 15,922 oz. of silver from 233,476 tons of ore.
LAURION Mineral Exploration Inc. currently owns certain rights to a mineral property located in the northeast part of Tisdale Township totaling 27 claims located approximately 12km northeast of Timmins, Ontario (the "Tisdale Property").
LAURION Mineral Exploration Inc. holds 31.5% interest in 12 claims located within the Tisdale Property (the "Davidson-Tisdale Claims") and 100% interest in the remaining 15 claims of the Tisdale Property (the "North Tisdale Claims").
LAURION Mineral Exploration Inc has 5 properties (collectively, "Alliance Properties") contained under two Alliance Projects currently under exploration pursuant to the strategic alliance agreement ("Laurion/GXL Agreement") with Kiska Metals (previously Geoinformatics Exploration Inc.) . The Alliance Projects are comprised of the Gowganda Project and Nipigon Project.- Gowganda Project
The Gowganda Projects are located approximately 33 km northwest of Gowganda in the Midlothian Township and consists of the Midlothian (a 2,782 hectare claim block) and the Raymond (a 3,291 hectare claim block).
- Nipigon Project
The Nipigon Project comprises:- Fox Mountain, located 40 km west of Cameron Falls and straddles the Townships of Little Sturge and Leckie Lakes, and consists of a 1,730.5 hectare claim block;
- Graydon Lake located 23 km north-west of Cameron Falls within Graydon Lake Township and consists of a 2,209 hectare claim block; and
- Dorothea located 15 km northwest of Beardmore within Dorothea Township and consists of a 957 hectare claim block.
LAURION Mineral Exploration Inc. holds 100% interest in 4 unpatented mining claims (52 units) in Clary Township, ("Clary Property"), located 50km west of the town of Temagami and 105km north west of North Bay, Ontario.
LAURION Mineral Exploration Inc. holds a 100% interest in 589 mining claim units (55 mining claims) covering approximately 9,542 acres in the Enid, Massey, Fortune, Turnbull and Cóte Townships, ("Enid Massey Property"), located 40 kilometres west of Timmins, Ontario. The project focuses on the Cóte-Enid-Massey Mafic Intrusive Complex ("CEMMI") and on Ni-Cu-PGE's and gold targets.
